solo exhibition
With their vibrant colors and uninhibited brushstrokes, Juli Baker’s works have become hugely popular on the Thai creative scenes. Inspired by travel scenes, pop culture, and the everyday, Baker’s daydream-like paintings depict motifs such as sunlight, flourishing gardens, music playing in colorful rooms, and people moving back and forth between fantasy and reality. Thirty-five new works looking back on an unprecedented year of danger and hope – from the pandemic to the Thai democratization movement – are presented.
